NEET result 2024 is available on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/. 13.16 lakh candidates passed NEET UG 2024 held on May 5 for MBBS, BDS admissions for the academic year 2024-25.

NEET-UG is a single gateway for admission into various undergraduate courses in the field of medicine. These courses include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), and BSc (H) Nursing. Passing the NEET UG exam is mandatory for students aspiring to pursue these courses in reputed medical colleges in India.
The total MBBS seats in India change every time. Each year, the landscape of medical education is moulded by government policies, and the establishment of new medical colleges increases the total MBBS seats in India in 2024. For aspirants who want to know how many MBBS seats are there in NEET, as per the latest NMC data, there are 1,09,048 MBBS seats in 707 medical colleges.
On the basis of All India Ranks secured by medical aspirants in NEET 2024 merit list, state counselling authorities prepares their own state-wise NEET merit list for admission. The allotment of NEET state merit rank to a candidate in the rank list depends on a variety of factors, like eligibility of the candidate as per domicile requirement, etc. Considering these factors an eligible candidate merit list for NEET counselling will be prepared.
The AIQ NEET rank list 2024 includes all those candidates who are eligible for 15% seats under AIQ, except those belonging to the state of Jammu & Kashmir. If candidates from J&K wish to opt for AIQ seats they must sign the declaration form while filling out the NEET application form 2024. After that, on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), DGHS will conduct counselling on the basis of AIQ rank secured by candidates in the merit list of NEET.

The All India Rank NEET merit list 2024 by NTA includes the names of candidates, All India Rank (AIR), NEET scores (out of 720), and qualifying status.
The merit list of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2024 is prepared based on the candidate's individual scores. On the basis of their rank in the merit list, students will be called for NEET counselling 2024. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releases the NEET merit list 2024 for 15% All India Quota seats. While, the merit list for 85% state quota seats and all seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS, and JIPMER institutes will be released by respective state authorities.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
In 2024, a total of 67 candidates scored 720/720 in the NEET exam.
Total 67 students have secured AIR 1 this year. All the candidates have scored 720 marks and 99.9971285 percentile in NEET exam 2024.
There are a total 1532 colleges in India, out of which 480 are government colleges and 1052 are private colleges in India which accept NEET UG for the undergraduate medical courses.
A total of 67 students have topped the NEET 2024 with AIR 1 and 720 marks. Majority of them from Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Rest of them are from New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Haryana, Gujrat and Andhra Pradesh.
MBBS and BDS - NEET exam is the only gateway for admission to MBBS and BDS government and private colleges, central universities, and deemed institutes/universities across India along with AIIMS and JIPMER which have been brought under the ambit of NEET 2024.
AYUSH courses - NTA NEET result is also the channel for admission to all AYUSH courses offered across India including Ayurveda (BAMS), Yoga, and Naturopathy (BNYS), Unani (BUMS), Siddha (BSMS), Homeopathy (BHMS).
B.V.Sc. and AH courses - Admissions to 15% All India Quota seats in Veterinary colleges offering B.VSc. and AH courses (excluding Jammu & Kashmir) is also based on the NEET UG 2024 result.
To pursue medical and dental courses from foreign countries, it is mandatory to qualify for the exam. NEET results of such candidates will be valid for 3 years.

The NTA has released the NEET 2024 official data. Around 24,06,079 students registered for NEET 2024, out of which 13,16,268 qualified.
As per the NEET UG 2024 toppers list, a total of 67 students scored full marks in the medical entrace exam.
Around 13,16,268 lakh aspirants have managed to crack NEET 2024, out of 23,33,297 who appeared.

The NTA announced that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon announce the NEET UG counselling schedule 2024 for 15% AIQ quota seats.
NEET UG 2024 question mark carries 720 marks in total. As per the marking scheme, 4 marks will be awarded for each correct response and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No mark will be awarded for questions that are not attempted.
“NTA received few representations and Court Cases from the candidates of NEET (UG) 2024 raising concerns of loss of time during the conduct of the examination on 05.05.2024. Such cases/representations were considered by NTA and the normalisation formula, which has been devised and adopted by the Hon'ble Apex Court, vide its Judgment dated 13.06.2018, was implemented to address the loss of time faced by the candidates of NEET (UG) 2024. The loss of examination time was ascertained and such candidates were compensated with grace marks. So, candidate's marks can be 718 or 719 also,” the latest update read.

AIIMS Delhi offers a total of 55 MBBS seats including seven seats for the foreign nationals. The category-wise number of MBBS seats in AIIMS Delhi is given below.
For MBBS admissions, Haryana government has introduced a “tripartite agreement” between the student, government and a bank. A loan of around Rs 25 lakh will be issued to the student the moment they finish their internship. Students will have to pay the “collateral-free education loan” after a moratorium of one year.
