The 2018 amendments to the NEET UG eligibility criteria removed the limit on the number of attempts. Therefore, there is no restriction on how many times a candidate can appear for NEET 2025, as long as they meet the eligibility requirements.

The chapter-wise weightage for NEET UG 2025 chemistry section is given in the table below. 

According to the NEET UG 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer while no marks will be given for unanswered questions. There will be negative marking and one mark will be deducted for every wrong response.

NEET exam passing marks are 50th percentile for candidates belonging to the general category. Similarly, NTA has set different passing marks for candidates of different categories for qualifying the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025.
