State-wise NEET UG Counselling 2025 LIVE: Haryana round 1 registration begins; MBBS, BDS admission updates

The CEE Kerala published the first phase seat allotment results on August 5. However, after the MCC revised the counselling schedule, the Kerala Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) opened a facility for candidates to arrange, delete, or re-arrange their order of preferences between August 9 and 15. 

The MCC has also revised the NEET UG 2025 counselling schedule for round 1 All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The choice filling facility will available till 11.59 pm on August 9. The NEET choice locking facility will open at 6 pm today and will be active till midnight. Based on the choices submitted by the candidates, the MCC will announce the seat allotment results on August 11 on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

Candidates who will be allotted seats in round 1 Punjab NEET counselling 2025, scheduled for August 12, will have to complete physical reporting and deposit six-months' tuition fee through university payment gateway between August 13 and 24.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has once again extended the choice filling last date for the NEET UG 2025 counselling round 1 to August 9.

The counselling committee has published the provisional list of candidates eligible under the NRI quota after document scrutiny. Candidates should ensure the submission of all original documents, including proof of NRI status and relationship certificates, at the time of reporting to the allotted college.

NEET UG state counselling is conducted by each state or its designated authority for 85% state quota seats in government colleges and all private college seats. The process includes registration on the state portal, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment based on NEET rank and reservations, and reporting to the allotted college for admission.

The Supreme Court has reserved its verdict on Telangana’s four-year domicile rule for state quota admissions. The rule limits reservation benefits to candidates who have studied in Telangana for the past four years. The Telangana High Court had earlier ruled that permanent residents should not be denied benefits for residing in another state temporarily.

The NEET UG 2025 round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 11, 2025. Candidates can check their allotment status on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, using their login credentials.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Chhattisgarh, has announced the schedule for round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling, as given below.

Yes. Maharashtra follows a closed state policy for MBBS/BDS state quota seats, meaning only candidates with Maharashtra domicile are eligible for state quota counselling in government colleges. Non-domicile candidates can apply only for All India Quota seats or for management/NRI seats in private colleges.

The assessment for Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admissions in Telangana will be conducted on August 11 and 12, 2025. A total of 79 candidates have applied for PWD reservation in state medical and dental institutes.

Atal Medical and Research University, Himachal Pradesh, has revised the counselling dates for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 85% state quota. As per the revised schedule, the round 1 final seat allotment list will be declared on August 13 at amruhp.ac.in.

NEET-UG is the only entrance test for MBBS and BDS admissions in all states and union territories. Admissions are done under two quotas — 15% All India Quota (AIQ), for which counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and 85% state quota, for which counselling is conducted by respective state authorities. No state is exempt from NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical courses.

Haryana NEET UG counselling 2025 registered candidates can submit and lock their college and course choices online from August 8 to August 12, up to 11:59 pm, on the official counselling portal at uhsr.ac.in.

The Haryana NEET UG counselling 2025 round 1 registration for MBBS and BDS courses begins. Medical aspirants can register for the Haryana NEET UG counselling 2025 through the official website at uhsrugcounselling.com. The last date to register for the Haryana NEET UG counselling 2025 is August 12.

The Patna High Court has suspended the Bihar Health Department’s decision to fix fees for 50% of seats in private medical colleges at par with government institutions. The order came in response to petitions filed by private colleges challenging the directive.

The revised provisional Kerala phase 1 seat allotment results will be declared on August 16 and the final allotment on August 18. 

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot said that it will inform any change in the Punjab NEET UG provisional allotment on August 12 after reviewing the objections raised by candidates. Candidates allotted seats in round 1 Punjab NEET counselling 2025 will have to complete physical reporting and deposit six-months' tuition fee through university payment gateway between August 13 and 24.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University Of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has announced that it will conduct the document verification for candidates applied under the Person with Disability (PwD) category on August 11 and 12. 

The medical assessment will be conducted at Learning Center & Mini Conference Hall, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. NEET rank holders from 1 to 7,70,000 will have to appear on August 11 and the remaining candidates on August 12. The round 1 Telangana NEET UG counselling dates will be announced soon. 

The Director General Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, has revised the UP NEET UG counselling schedule for round 1 as per the MCC directive. Candidates will be able to apply for UP MBBS, BDS admission by August 11 through the official website, upneet.gov.in. 

The UP NEET first merit list 2025 will be published on August 11 and the seat allotment results on August 14. Selected candidates are required to download allotment letter from August 18 to 23 and August 25 to 26.
