NEET application process will involve multiple steps like registration, submission of details, uploading of documents, and payment of fees. If there is no revision in the application fee, then candidates will be required to pay INR 1,400 (INR 750 for SC/ST/PH candidates). The medical entrance exam will be conducted as a pen and paper based test only on May 5.
It is likely that NTA will open the correction window in December for candidates to make corrections in the application form if any. The details of the fields which can be corrected are yet to be announced.
The number of exam centres for NEET is likely to be increased this year as last year a lot of students had to travel outside to appear for the exam. As per an earlier statement of Prakash Javadekar, any district which has more than 4,000 applicants will be made a centre. It will accommodate all the test-takers from that district and surrounding districts. The information about the exam centre will be conveyed through the admit card which will be issued on April 15.
NEET is considered to be the country’s largest medical entrance exam as more than 12 lakh aspirants appear for the exam. The exam is the sole gateway for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BNYS and BSMS courses.
