NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 Counselling: Choice filling from September 16, result on September 23

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for round 2 of online counselling for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery courses. The complete schedule is out for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) and 100% Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS for the academic year 2026. As per schedule, verification of the tentative seat matrix by participating institutes will be conducted on September 14. The registration and payment process for eligible candidates will begin on September 15 and remain open until September 19.

Candidates will be able to register and make payments on September 19 until 3 pm and make payment till 6 pm. In the first round, 1,521 seats were allotted.

NEET MDS round 2 choice filling, seat allotment, verification

MCC NEET MDS choice-filling window will open on September 16 and continue until 10 am on September 20. Candidates will be allowed to fill their preferred courses and institutes by September 20. Choice locking will begin at 4 pm on September 19 and remain available until 10 am on September 20, 2026.

The processing of seat allotment for round 2 will be conducted from September 21 to September 22, 2026. MCC will announce the Round 2 result on September 23, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will then have to complete the reporting or joining process at their respective institutes. The reporting and joining window will be open from September 24 to September 30, 2026.

Following the reporting and joining period, institutes will verify the data of candidates on October 1, 2026. Round 2 counselling process covers MDS seats under the 50% All India Quota as well as 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities and AFMS, as specified in the MCC schedule.

NEET MDS 2026 Round 2 schedule

Candidates participating in Round 2 should follow the MCC schedule and complete registration, payment, choice filling, choice locking and reporting within deadline. Applications submitted post deadline will not be considered.

NEET MDS round 3 tentative schedule

MCC will also conduct an online stray vacancy round. For this, the registration and payment window will remain open between October 12 and October 14. For more details, candidates can go to the official website.
