NEET PG 2021 Counselling: MCC issues notice on eligibility for participation in fresh mop up round

NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice on the eligibility for participation in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2021 Counselling mop-up round. The candidates who joined in NEET PG 2021 Counselling round-2, whether through All India Quota (AIQ) or state quota will not be eligible to participate in fresh mop-up round and subsequent rounds of the AIQ.

The MCC notice also includes a list of roll numbers and names of candidates of state quota and the AIQ joined candidates who are not eligible to participate in the NEET PG 2021 Counselling fresh mop-up round. Candidates can check the latest notice on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
“MCC is receiving many queries from candidates who are not able to participate in Fresh Mop Up Round of PG Counselling 2021 which started from 14.04.2022…the candidates joined in Round-2, whether through All India Quota or State Quota will not be eligible to participate in Fresh Mop Up Round and subsequent rounds of AIQ,” the notice read.
The list includes the names of 10,658 candidates who are ineligible to participate in the NEET PG 2021 Counselling. The MCC has also requested the DMEs of states to provide the list of round-2 joined candidates of their respective states which is enclosed along with the latest notice.

The Supreme Court on April 5 clarified that a candidate will lose their seat in NEET PG Counselling 2021 round 2 only if they join the seat allotted to them in the special round being conducted for 146 additional seats.
