NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) issues a notice regarding extending deadline for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET PG) state counselling 2022. Candidates can participate in the NEET PG state counselling 2022 at MCC's official website-

As per approval received by the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW), the MCC will be conducting a special stray vacancy round for all vacant PG seats in All India Quota (AIQ), central universities, central institutes and deemed universities up to January 14, 2023. The special stray vacancy round is being conducted to fill 2,244 PG seats and 62 MDS seats which remained vacant after the last round.

Candidates will have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs 50,000 to participate in the counselling. The candidates who did not join the allotted seats in NEET counselling special stray vacancy round will be debarred from appearing in NEET PG 2023 exam. Meanwhile the pre-registered candidates that do not hold a set in the NEET AIQ counsellign or state quota can participate.

The MCC received multiple representations from various states to extend the last date of admission for PG state counselling 2022. "The competent authorities have decided that the timeline for AIQ counselling & State counselling should be on same lines. Therefore, all the state counselling authorities are hereby informed that last date of admission/ counselling for State quota is extended till 14.01.2023," read the MCC notice.

The committee has advised all state counselling authorities to adhere to the timeline provided and complete the NEET PG counselling process on time.
