NEET PG 2023 Live: Exam moderate in difficulty level; Question paper analysis, result date at nbe.edu.in

As per the NEET PG marking scheme 2023, candidates will be awarded four marks (+4) for a correct response, one mark (-1) will be deducted for a wrong answer, while zero marks will be given for unattempted questions.

NBEMS will soon release the NEET PG 2023 question paper, candidate's response sheet and answer key on its official website, nbe.edu.in.

The NEET PG cut-off for general category candidates is 50th percentile, while the cut-off for reserved category is 40th percentile.

NBE will declare the NEET PG result 2023 by March 31, 2023, on the official website, nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in.

Candidates will be allotted admission to 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG Diploma and 1,338 DNB CET seats. The seat allotment will be done based on NEET PG 2023 result, choices filled by candidates, availability of seats, reservation criteria among other factors.

MCC will conduct the NEET PG counselling 2023 after 4 months.

The NEET PG merit list 2023 will be prepared on the basis of the ranks secured by the candidates.

NBE will not release any NEET PG answer key 2023 due to the Non-Disclosure Agreement however, leading coaching institutes will release the same.

The previous year’s cut-off for the General category was 275 marks while that for SC, ST, OBC and General PH was 245 and 260 marks respectively.

The NEET PG 2023 cut-off and toppers list will be released along with the NEET PG 2023 result on the NBE official website.

After the NEET PG exam is over, candidates can do two things mentioned below.

The NEET PG exam 2023 was held for a duration for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The NEET PG exam pattern consists of 200 multiple-choice questions with each question having 4 response options. The NEET PG 2023 question paper will be of total 800 marks; +4 marks for ever correct answer and -1 mark for every wrong answer.

A total of 2,08,898 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2023 exam at 902 examination centres spread across 277 cities.

NBE will declare the NEET PG result by March 31 on the official websites- natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.

National Exit Test or #NExT will be implemented most likely from December 2023. The test will be replacing NEET PG, FMGE exams for admission to postgraduate courses.

Last year, the NEET PG exam difficulty level was moderate.

NBEMS in an information bulletin said, “The photograph should not have kinks, scratches and stains, and should definitely match with the candidate presenting the e-Aadhaar Card. Decision of NBEMS in this regard shall be final.”  

Items like textual material, notes, pouch, calculator, pen, pen drives, eraser, mobile Pphone, earphones, microphone, wrist watch, health band, calculator, electronic pen and similar other are not allowed.

NEET PG 2023 exam is underway. Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya made a surprise visit to NEET PG 2023 exam centre at Patiala. He viewed the security arrangements and expressed satisfaction regarding conduct of the exam.   Union Health Minister also met & interacted with parents of the candidates, the ministry informed.

The NEET PG result will be declared by March 31 on the official websites- natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in.

Candidates with big or elaborate tattoos cannot appear for the examination, the ones who wish to appear for the exam must inform authorities in advance.

Candidates must note that the entry gates will close in half and hour. They will have to carry the latest photograph affixed NEET PG admit card 2023 along with government-issued identity card to be allowed entry in the NEET PG exam hall.

NEET PG 2023 exam timings

NEET PG syllabus 2023 will comprise subject knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Government of India, the NBE informed.

• Around 95% clinical scenario questions were asked, even for pre and paraclinical subjects.
• Contraception, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBS GYNE), and mycology subjects also had more weightage.
• Straight questions from molecular biology and biochemistry
• Surgery - Exploratory laparotomy for perforation-peritonitis and stab wound; intussusception.
• Scleromalacia perforans, HLA-DQ2 seen in celiac disease were other topics.
• 30 to 40 questions were event-based and there were 75 image-based questions.
• A fewer number of questions were asked from surgery, medicine, peds, ectopic pregnancy.

Male candidates should not wear full-sleeved shirts, t-shorts, bulky clothes with zip pockets, big buttons, sequins, or embroideries, Kurta Pajama and shoes. Clothing should be simple.

Along with the NEET hall ticket 2023, aspirants will also have to carry a photo identity card - Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter id or driving license.

Female NEET PG candidates are not allowed to wear full-sleeves, clothes with sequins, embroidery, patches, brooches, or big buttons; only half sleeves allowed. In addition to this, footwear with high heels and thick soles, jewellery such as earrings, nose pins, rings, necklaces, anklets, bracelets, or pendants are not allowed.

The health minister extended the internship deadline to August 11, 2023. The deadline was extended twice this year from March 31 as thousands of students were ineligible to appear for the exam.

Those appearing in the NEET PG exam 2023 will be able to check NEET PG exam analysis, unofficial answer key, NEET PG result date here after the exam concludes. 

Candidates will have to be seated in the exam hall by 8.30 AM. The entry to NEET PG exam centre will close in an hour.

The NEET PG 2023 exam will be conducted today, March 5, from 9 AM to 12.30 PM.

Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser etc. Electronic device like mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, wrist watch, health band, calculator, electronic pen, scanner are prohibited inside the NEET PG exam hall 2023.

Students appearing in the medical PG exam should be properly dressed in a formal attire, the NBE said in the exam day guidelines. 

NEET PG 2023 candidates will have to affix their recent passport size photograph in the space provided on the NEET PG admit card 2023. Minimum 35x45 mm, and not larger than the box printed on admit card for pasting the photograph with at least 75% area on the photograph should be occupied with the face & head of the candidate, the guidelines read.

Candidates can login in both nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in to download the NEET PG admit card 2023.

It is mandatory for candidates to carry NEET PG admit card 2023 to the exam centres along with the valid photo identity card. Candidates will be able to download the NEET PG 2023 admit card from the official website,nbe.edu.in.

The NBE will be holding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2023 today from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.

 No rough paper for rough work or pen/pencil will be provided at the test centre. There is no requirement and no permission to carry a pen or pencil and rough paper inside the test centre.

NEET PG will be held tomorrow, March 5, 2023. 

NEET PG score between 550-500 will be allotted a rank between 1,001-2,000. This score  will let students secure admission in private colleges as the cutoff for government institutions is much higher.
