NEW DELHI: The National Eligbiliy-cum-Entrance Test-postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) exam was easy-moderate in difficulty level, as per students reaction. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) today conducted the NEET PG exam 2023 from 9 AM to 12.30 PM.

Candidates who registered for the medical PG entrance exam were allowed to appear for the test. The NEET PG 2023 question paper had 200 multiple choice questions and students were given three and a half hours to complete the test.

As per the NEET PG marking scheme, the NBE will award 4 marks for each correct answer and will deduct one mark for each wrong answer. No marks will be reduced for unattempted questions, the guidelines read. There will be 25 per cent negative marking for incorrect answers, it added.

According to the students' reaction, some found the question paper to be easy while several students said that the paper was moderately difficult. Several students also said that the NEET PG 2023 question paper was similar to previous year’s paper and had more topics asked last year.

Last year, around 95% clinical scenario questions were asked. Contraception, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBS GYNE), and mycology subjects also had more weightage. Straight questions from molecular biology and biochemistry were also asked. Students said that there were more question from biochemistry this year as well.

The health minister Mansukh Mandaviya today made a surprise visit to NEET PG 2023 exam centre at Patiala. He viewed the security arrangements and expressed satisfaction regarding conduct of the exam. The Union health minister also met and interacted with parents of the candidates, the ministry informed.

A NEET PG candidate said the exam was easy and had many previous year topics.

80% of the paper consisted of previous year paper and previous year topics, another candidate said.
