Download nowNEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has not yet declared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) round 3 counselling seat allotment result. NEET PG aspirants have taken to social media platform, X, to request MCC to notify students if there is a delay in result declaration.
The round 3 counselling result delay comes amid the rising demand to reduce the NEET PG cut-off 2023 to fill the vacant seats. Doctors group including Indian Medical Association (IMA) and United Doctors’ Front Association (UDFA) have written to Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya and NMC demanding reduction in qualifying cut-offs.
IMA has requested to reduce cut-off percentile up to 30 percent to fill the seats for both clinical and non-clinical branches. While some students have urged the commission to reduce the cut-off by 10-15 marks.
Meanwhile, a fake update on ‘NEET PG cut-offs 2023 reduced’ notice is circulating on X. Neither National Board of Examinations (NBE) nor NMC, MCC has issued any notice of reduced NEET PG cut-off on its official websites.
As per the last update on NEET PG round 3 counselling, the MCC has notified 25 newly added seats and 13,245 virtual vacancy for the ongoing round.
The MCC was scheduled to declare the NEET PG round 3 seat allotment result on September 16 and the window for uploading documents was slated to be active till September 17. However, there is no update on the ongoing counselling round.
A few X users have shared NBE notice on revised NEET PG cut-off 2023, however, it is not official.
