NEW DELHI: With just three days before the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024, various students reported that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had changed their examination centre locations to different states. The NEET PG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on August 11.

Aspirants are expressing dissatisfaction with the reassigned cities because they are farther away than their preferred choices. The candidates' situation is worsened by the adverse weather conditions across India during the monsoon season.
Concerned students took to social media to express their frustrations. A candidate wrote, "centre changed my own state MP To raipur by NBEMS at this last moment where I should go now I got stucked and lost hopes of neet pg examination why NBEMS is playing with DOCTORS.
Another candidate wrote, "You won't believe the drama that's been unfolding since January this year about #NEETPG2024 . @NbeIndia just sent another email and message three days ago, switching the center for so many students again. People have already booked their tickets and flights, but they've received a new message for center today. I wonder if @NbeIndia is considering the impact on doctors' futures and mental health. NSUI President writes to JP Nadda
Meanwhile, NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary requested Union Health Minister JP Nadda to open portal where students can choose either earlier or this centre for the NEET PG 2024 exam.
"I am writing to express concern over the sudden change in NEET-PG exam centres for the August 11, 2024 exam. With only four days left, this random allocation of centres and change has caused significant issues for students", the letter read.
He also requested the ministry to provide support for travel and accommodation adjustments. Nadda has been requested to reassess the exam centres allotted to applicants by student organisations, medical associations, and Members of Parliament.
