The National Board of Examinations Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2026) on August 30 for over 2.65 lakh aspirants. The exam was conducted in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm. According to the NEET PG information bulletin, for the first time, NBEMS will publish the NEET PG answer key 2026 in compliance with the Supreme Court order. Candidates will be able to check the provisional answer key from the official website at natboard.edu.in.

Memory-based NEET PG 2026 questions and unofficial answer key PDFs online, shared by subject experts and several coaching institutes, will be updated here in a while. To check and download the provisional answer keys, candidates will have to go to the official website and log in using their registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. The objections raised by candidates will be considered by the commission while preparing the final answer key and results.
NEET PG 2026 Difficulty Level
Students told Careers360 that the NEET PG 2026 exam was "moderate to tough" in terms of difficulty. Unlike what was announced for this year, no video-based questions were asked in the NEET PG exam 2026. As per subject experts, this year's paper was lengthy and conceptual, highly integrated, with long clinical scenario-type questions. Moreover, PYQs remained important, with very few image-based questions.
NBEMS conducted NEET PG 2026 for 2,65,980 candidates at 1,111 examination centres across 338 cities in the country. The examination was completed for around 2,63,535 candidates. However, the NEET PG 2026 exam could not be completed at iON Digital Zone centres in Jaipur due to an internal power failure. NBEMS has scheduled a re-examination for affected candidates on September 5, 2026, at 3 pm in Jaipur.

According to the NEET PG 2026, if two or more aspirants score the same marks, their ranks will be decided using the following order:
As per the NEET PG 2026 marking scheme, four marks will be given for every correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for incorrect answers. Notably, NBEMS has also reduced the number of questions asked in the exam from 200 to 180.
Several coaching institutes and subject experts will issue the PG medical entrance exam analysis and unofficial answer keys. Candidates can evaluate their answers entered using the unofficial answer keys or memory-based question paper PDFs with solutions. NEET PG 2026 paper consisted of 180 MCQs with 720 marks.
