NEET PG 2026 ‘moderate to difficult’; no video-based questions, most on ‘practical learning’, say students'

The NBEMS conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2026) for more than 2.65 lakh aspirants at 1,111 exam centres across 338 cities in the country.

This year, NBEMS has reduced the number of questions asked in the exam to 180 from 200; however, the exam timing was the same as in previous sessions.

NEET PG Analysis: Students’ reaction

According to students’ reactions on X and memory-based questions, the NEET PG exam was “moderate” in difficulty level. Some said the paper was based on “practical learning” mostly.

A student told Careers360 that the paper was "decent and moderate in difficulty—not very tough."

Meenu, who appeared for the NEET PG exam 2026 in Patna, said that there were more practical-based questions. "Rote learning would not have helped," she added. Another student said that the paper was not tough, with only 15-20 questions in the exam.

Although some even claimed that the paper was "too lengthy and complicated." There was no questions ECE, Acid topics.

NEET PG 2026 Question paper PDF with solution

The medical board of the exam does not issue the question paper for the NEET PG 2026 exam. However, students who appeared for the exam share the memory-based questions, from which a question paper PDF with solutions will be prepared and published by several coaching institutes as well.

NEET PG Answer Key 2026 by NBEMS

In a first, NBEMS will issue the NEET PG 2026 answer key on its official website at natboard.edu.in.

Moreover, along with the correct answer key, the responses marked by the candidates to questions asked in NEET PG 2026 will also be published. Candidates will be able to access the question ID numbers, the correct answer key to the questions, and responses marked through the login at the NEET-PG 2026 on the NBEMS website.
