NEET PG, MDS 2020 counselling: newly registered candidates list released

NEW DELHI: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the list of newly registered candidates for extended stray vacancy NEET PG and MDS counselling round. The list comprises the roll number, rank, name of the medical or dental graduates who have done their new registration between August 4 to 8, 2020.
The shortlisted candidates for NEET PG seat allotment need to report at the deemed universities from 3:00 PM of August 10 to 14, 2020, till 5:00 PM. A total of 117 medical and 16 dental graduates have been selected for stray vacancy round for NEET PG medical and dental admissions to deemed universities.
NEET PG, MDS stray vacancy round
For granting admission to the seats left vacant in deemed universities, the stray vacancy round of NEET PG/MDS 2020 counselling is being conducted by authorities. Stray vacancy round is conducted only after the completion of the mop-up round. Candidates who have been allotted any seats and they have joined it in any of the counselling rounds are not eligible for stray vacancy round.
Candidates must note that, earlier, MCC had already conducted the NEET-PG/MDS 2020 counselling for IP, BHU, Central universities, AMU, deemed, and DU for stray vacancy round. But, due to vacant seats left in deemed universities, the authority has now released the registered candidates for extended stray vacancy round.
NEET MDS and PG 2020 examination
National Board of Examination (NBE) has conducted NEET-PG for granting admission to 10,821 Master of Surgery (MS) seats, 19,953 Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats, and 1,979 PG Diploma seats offered by 6,102 government, private, Deemed and Central Universities. However, on the basis of NEET MDS, a total of 6,501 seats are offered for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota, and all deemed/central universities.
