Use NowNEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date of resignation from the NEET PG round 1 counselling 2023 by one day, August 18. As per the schedule, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG 2023) round 2 counselling registration against the All India Quota (AIQ) will begin today on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
“Resignation from Round 1 seat is being provided up to 05:00 PM of 18.08.2023,” the MCC official website read. There are a total of four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2023, including a stray round.
The committee announced that the tentative seat matrix for round 2 will be announced on August 18. The registration for NEET PG round 2 AIQ counselling will begin from August 17 and will conclude on August 22 at 12 noon. However, the payment facility will be available till 8 PM on the last date of NEET PG round 2 counselling registration.
Once the seat matrix is out on August 18, candidates who wish to pursue MD, MDS, PG medical courses will have to fill choices in the order of priority from August 19 to 22. They will also have to avail the choice locking facility from 3 PM to 11.55 PM on August 22.
The second round NEET PG 2023 allotment results 2023 will be declared on August 25 at mcc.nic.in. Those not allotted any seats in the two rounds, will be able to participate in the third and stray round. The NEET PG third round registration will begin from September 8.
The National Exit Test (NExT), the exam which will replace NEET PG, is likely to be held in August 2025 for the final year MBBS students of the 2020 batch, as per the discussion between the health ministry and the National Medical Commission (NMC), the PTI reported.
