NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Super Specialty (NEET SS 2023) due to the G20 Summit scheduled to be held on September 9 and 10.
“In wake of the 18th G20 Summit scheduled to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 in India and consequent travel restrictions which shall now be in place in Delhi from 8th September 2023 to 10th September 2023, the conduct of NEET-SS 2023, which was announced to be held on 9th and 10th September 2023 across the country, has been deferred,” the NBE said.
The board recently said that Srinagar has not been considered as an exam city due to security reasons. Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), however, requested for an additional exam centre for candidates hailing from Srinagar.

As per the schedule, NEET SS admit card 2023 will be issued on September 4. NEET-SS is the single eligibility-cum-ranking examination for admission to various DM/MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses.
AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS running super specialty programme, PGIMER, Chandigarh, JIPMER, Puducherry, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, are not covered for admission to DM/MCh courses through NEET-SS 2023, as per the information brochure.
The NEET SS 2023 question paper will consist of 60% questions from super specialty and 40% questions from feeder broad specialty. Candidates will have to answer 150 questions in two and a half hours.
