NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022). The application process of NEET 2022 was to be closed on May 6, however, authority has extended the date till May 15.

Candidates who have not submitted their NEET UG 2022 application form must fill the form on or before May 15 at neet.nta.nic.in. It must be noted that the NEET 2022 application form will be considered after the successful fee payment. Candidates can submit the NEET application form fee on or before May 15.

While the authorities have been extending the date of filling the NEET application form, students are demanding to postpone the exam. While the authorities have yet not given any statement regarding this, appearing candidates are demanding for NEET 2022 to be held in the month of August.

How to fill NEET 2022 application form?

Candidates must follow the below steps to fill the NEET 2022 application form:

  • Go to the official website, neet.nta.nic.in

  • Click on ‘NEET 2022 Registration’.

  • Read the instructions carefully before proceeding.

  • Enter the personal information to generate an application number and password.

  • Login again with application number and password.

  • Enter the personal, educational, and contact information.

  • Upload the required document such as photograph, signature, left-thumb impression, etc.

  • Pay the NEET 2022 application fee.

  • Click on ‘Submit’.

Documents required for NEET 2022 application form

Candidates must keep the following NEET UG 2022 documents ready before filling the application form.

  • Photograph

  • Signature

  • Post Card Size Photograph

  • Left and Right hand Fingers and Thumb Impression

  • Class 10 Passing Certificate

  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.), if applicable

  • PwD certificate, if applicable

  • Citizenship certificate/ Embassy certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship certificate

NEET 2022: Application form fee

Below listed is the NEET UG application fee to be paid by the candidates based on their category.

  • General- Rs. 1,600

  • General- EWS/ OBC-NCL- Rs. 1,500

  • SC/ST/PwD/ Third gender- Rs. 900

  • NRI- Rs. 8,500

NEET 2022: Details which can be corrected only

Below listed are the NEET 2022 details which can be corrected once the correction window opens. Candidates must enter all the details correctly as every detail cannot be amended.

  • Personal details

  • Place of birth

  • Medium of question paper

  • Choice of exam city

  • Academic details (Class 10, 11, and 12)

  • Address

  • Details of parents/guardians

  • Dress code

Candidates must note that as per the released schedule, the NEET UG 2022 exam date is July 17 in pen and paper mode. The exam will be held from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM. A total of 200 questions will be asked in the examination out of which candidates will have to answer 180.
