NEET UG 2022 registration begins today? Fake notice circulating on social media

Try NowNEW DELHI: A fake notice is being circulated on social media saying that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has started inviting online applications for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 from today, April 4.
“In order to ensure that the candidate data is submitted fast, the application form for NEET UG 2022 has been divided into two sets or phases,” read the fake notice.

The notice contains a fake schedule of examination according to which the registration for NEET 2022 will be conducted from April 4 to 15, 2022. Candidates will be able to make payment of fees till April 17 and edit the application form till April 18. The exam centres for NEET 2022 exam will be announced on May 20 and the medical entrance test will be conducted on July 17, the fake schedule said.
The fake notification went on to say that the first set of information needs to be filled before the last date of submission of the application form online and the second after declaration of result.
On the contrary, an NTA official told Careers360 today that NEET UG 2022 notification will be announced soon, maybe by Sunday, April 10. The official had earlier said that NEET UG 2022 is likely to be held in July and the application process will commence from April.

Candidates will be able to apply for NEET UG 2022 on the official website of NTA NEET - neet.nta.nic.in.
Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has scrapped the upper age limit for medical aspirants to appear for the NEET 2022, which was 25 years for unreserved candidates and 30 years for the reserved candidates.
