NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2023 exam for over 20 lakh candidates today. The NEET UG exam time is 2 pm to 5:20 pm. However, entry to the exam centre has started at 11 am, while the NEET UG gate closing time is 1:30 pm. Announcements regarding the NEET dress code including things not to carry are being made at the NEET 2023 exam centre. Hair clutch, jewellery, bags, and notepads are not permitted. NEET UG 2023 admit card has a self-declaration undertaking. The NEET self declaration form must have a postcard-size photograph pasted and thumb impression attached. An additional photograph same as uploaded on the NEET UG application form will have to be carried to the exam centre. The additional photograph must be pasted on the attendance sheet. The NEET hall ticket with duly filled in self-declaration form, rough pages will have to be handed over to the invigilator after the end of the exam.

The NEET UG 2023 will be held for physics, chemistry and biology papers. The NEET UG exam will be held for multiple choice questions (MCQs).

Candidates must carry any one of the original and valid photo identification proof issued by the government -- school identity card, PAN card, driving license, voter id, passport, aadhaar card with photograph, e-aadhaar with photograph, ration card with photograph, Class 12 board exam admit card with photograph or bank passbook with photograph. The NEET UG 2023 admit card is available at neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET Dress Code

  • Shoes and footwear with thick soles are not allowed
  • Garments with large buttons are not permitted
  • Wearing any kind of jewellery, ornaments will not be allowed
  • No electronic watches
  • For female candidates, leggings are not allowed
  • No kurta pyjamas will be allowed in NEET UG dress code for boys
