Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the extension of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) stray round counselling. The decision was taken as per the Supreme Court order to fill the vacant All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota MBBS seats.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) concluded the NEET UG counselling on November 15, however, the portal will be opened again for eligible candidates.
“It is directed to fill up the online details of 1st year MBBS Course students admitted for the academic year 2023-24 latest by 27th November, 2023. To navigate the online portal for entry you may follow the link: http://www.nmc.org.in/ActivitiWebClient/login,” the NMC said in its latest notification.

The MCC has published the NEET UG final stray vacancy round allotment results recently. A total of 302 candidates were allotted MBBS seats in various medical colleges.
The MCC is expected to announce the last NEET UG counselling round details shortly on mcc.nic.in. Admission to MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical courses is done through MCC and state counselling based on the NEET UG rank.
In other news, the NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 5. The NEET UG 2024 registration will begin in January. In this regard, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the single-largest medical entrance exam, recently announced that it will publish the reduced NEET UG syllabus on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
