NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2023 exam today May 7, 2023. The candidates will be appearing for the NEET Exam from 2 PM to 5:30 PM today. Candidates must carry their NEET UG 2023 admit card and a valid photo ID proof to the exam hall. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the NEET UG exam hall after 1:30 PM. NEET UG 2023 will be conducted for 20,87,449 medical aspirants.

NEET UG 2023 exam important topics

Here are the important NEET UG 2023 topics that have been compiled as per 10-year analysis of NEET UG previous years' papers.

  • Physics- modern physics, current electricity, magnetism, optics, work power energy, law of motion, and simple harmonic motions are critical and are frequently asked.
  • Chemistry- chemical bonding and molecular structure, chemical thermodynamics. Chemical kinetics, alcohols and ethers, p block elements, general organic chemistry, coordination compounds, s block elements, alkali and alkaline earth metals and hydrogen and biomolecules and polymers are important.
  • Biology- questions from biotechnology, genetics, cell, morphology, reproduction, human physiology and plant physiology are usually repeated.

NEET UG exam day rules

Candidates are required to hand over their NEET UG OMR sheets (both original and office copy) and admit card to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall. Only the test booklet can be taken. In case a candidates fails to do so, this will result in non-evaluation of their answer sheets.

In addition to this, candidates will also be required to paste a coloured postcard-sized photograph, or a 4 inch x 6 inch photograph, on the NEET UG hall ticket.

NEET UG 2023 Dress Code for male and female candidates

Candidates must note the following before appearing for their UG medical exam today.

  • Clothes with elaborate embroidery, brooches, buttons will not be allowed.
  • Clothes with large pockets and fashionable jeans will not be allowed.
  • Female candidates will not be allowed to wear leggings for the NEET UG exam.
  • Watch, wrist watch, bracelets, camera, and metallic items are prohibited.
  • Any personal items including electronic devices, mobile phones, bluetooth devices are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • In case a candidate wishes to write the exam in cultural or customary dress they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time for thorough checking.
