NEW DELHI: The NTA NEET UG 2023 registration has begun. This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the NEET UG application form 2023 fees and reduced the number of exam cities. Medical aspirants will have to fill in the form before the NEET UG registration last date on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in 2023.

The NTA will be conducting the NEET UG exam 2023 on May 7 at 485 exam cities across the country. Applicants will have to submit the NEET application form 2023 before April 6 along with the documents in specified format.

The medical entrance examination for MBBS, BDS and undergraduate medical courses admission will be held in pen and paper-based mode. The NEET question paper will consist of 200 questions and will be held for a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. The exam timing of NEET 2023 is 2 PM to 5.20 PM.

NEET UG registration fees - The NEET application fee has been increased for all categories including the foreign national candidates. The fee for Indian candidates has been increased by Rs 100 rupees.

Number of exam cities reduced - The NTA has announced that it will conduct NEET UG exam 2023 in 485 exam cities in India and 14 exam cities abroad. Last year, the exam was held in 543 exam cities. Although the number of exam cities outside India remains the same, the test cities in India have been reduced by 58 cities.

Tie-breaking rule - NEET UG application number in ascending order and candidates' date of birth were factors to break the tie if two or more students score the same marks in NEET exam. However, the NTA has removed both these criteria for determining the inter-se-merit.
