The counselling merit list will be prepared based on the NEET result. Candidates who have qualified for the exam will be included in the NEET UG merit list. This list will then be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for the allocation of seats available under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) category.

The validity of NEET scores for admission to Indian colleges is limited to the current academic session or one year. However, the Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced an extension of the validity period to three years for the purpose of admission to foreign colleges. This allows students who are applying to international institutions to utilize their NEET scores for a longer duration, considering the potentially longer admissions process involved in such cases.
