NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court today dismissed the plea demanding the cancellation of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 held on May 5 citing that re NEET is not justified. With this, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will commence the NEET UG counselling 2024 from tomorrow, July 24.

The NEET UG counselling process will consist of three rounds, followed by a stray vacancy round. The NEET UG counseeling 2024 schedule will be available on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Candidates who qualified the medical entrance test candidates need to log in with their credentials to register and make their selections.
The NEET UG Counselling 2024 for the All India quota will be conducted by the MCC for 15% of the seats in government colleges and seats in institutions like AMU, BHU, JMI, ESIC, AMC Pune, and deemed universities.
The Chief Justice of India (CJI) on Tuesday stated that they have received the IIT Delhi report, led by Director Banerjee, which confirms that option 4 is the correct answer. He added that the Court accepts the IIT Delhi report and, as a result, the NTA should re-tally the NEET UG results based on option 4.
A bench comprising the Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra were hearing over 40 petitions by candidates seeking NEET UG re-exam due to alleged paper leak and irregularities.
