NEW DELHI: Admission in all-India quota (AIQ) of MBBS seats in Madhya Pradesh’s government medical colleges is possible even at a rank as low as 50870 on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG). The sole exam for MBBS admissions is scheduled for May 4 and the NTA NEET UG registration last date 2025 is March 7.
As the past trend shows, the NEET cut-off was highest at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore – 10596. That said, AIQ cut-offs for general-category candidates and MBBS seats tend to hover in the 20000-40000 range with just one other college recording a cut-off below 20000.
After much confusion, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally decided on pen-and-paper as exam mode – the same as past years. The NEET exam will be conducted in a single shift, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Registration is open at neet.nta.nic.in.
Apart from MBBS, the NEET 2025 will also be the gateway to allied fields such as dentistry (BDS), nursing, AYUSH disciplines and others. The NEET UG 2025 cut-off marks are the ranks at which colleges closed admissions.
The NEET UG 2025 cut-off marks and ranks are of two types. These are described below.
Qualifying cut-off is the lowest score needed to qualify for NEET 2025. Qualifying doesn’t not guarantee admission in India but only allows the candidate to participate in NEET counselling at the central and state levels. This depends on a host of factors including the number of candidates, how well they are prepared, difficulty levels of NEET UG questions papers, exam conditions and more. The NEET qualification cut-off also varies with the reservation category of the candidate.
Admission cut-off is the lowest rank at which a college closes admission to a programme. This, too, is dependent on all the factors listed above plus another major one – the MBBS course fees.
The NEET UG cut-off score varies by category and rises or falls annually. Last year, the cut-off was lowest at Government Medical College, Satna (NEET AIR 50870) followed by GMC Sahdol (48376)
The NEET UG ranks at which Madhya Pradesh government medical colleges granted admission to general-category candidates are given in the table below.
