“The National Testing Agency (NTA) hereby brings to the attention of all stakeholders, especially aspiring candidates, that the syllabus for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 has been finalized by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), National Medical Commission (NMC),” NTA said in an official notice.

Based on the recommendations of the high-level committee formed to examine the NTA exams, the NEET UG exam 2025 might be conducted in multiple stages, computer-assisted pen-and-paper mode. The panel has suggested a security overhaul and simpler exam process.
A seven-member panel headed by the former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman K Radhakrishnan, constituted after the NEET UG paper leak fiasco, made its report public recently. The experts recommend a uniform pattern in terms of exam sessions, number of attempts, age limit, and mode of testing in all undergraduate entrance examinations.
The NEET UG exam conducted on May 5 this year was marred with controversies spanning paper leak, introduction of grace marks, disparity in scores, unusual number of toppers, and irregularities in NEET results 2024. The Supreme Court cancelled the results and NTA released the NEET UG revised result. The top court had denied canceling the exam noting a lack of enough evidence to indicate a widespread breach.
