NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registrations for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025. Aspirants can fill NEET application form 2025 through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in till March 7, 2025. NTA will conduct NEET UG exam 2025 on May 4 in a pen-and-paper mode.
The exam will be conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical programmes. Those who have completed 17 years of age and passed Class 12 are eligible.
NEET UG 2025 registration fees is Rs 1,700 for applicants belonging to the general category, Rs 1,600 for general-EWS and OBC-NCL, and Rs 1,000 for SC, ST, PwD, and third gender.

No, APAAR ID is not mandatory for NEET registration 2025 but just an option to fill the NEET UG application form 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already clarified that it is not compulsory. NEET UG 2025 aspirants were asked to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication during the NEET UG registration 2025.

The NEET code 3 under the qualifying examination codes for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 states the following:
Candidates who have passed the Intermediate or pre-degree exam in science of an Indian university or board or other recognized exam body with physics, chemistry, biology, or biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject are eligible.

In the revised CBME guidelines for MBBS, the National Medical Commission (NMC) dropped LGBTQ reference and made changes in competencies related to sexuality and gender. The commission published the Competency-based Medical Education curriculum for MBBS in line with the Madras High Court order. The guidelines, initially issued in August last year, were withdrawn after facing flak from activists and medical fraternity.

For NEET UG 2025, the lower age limit for candidates belonging to all categories is: born on or before December 31, 2008. NTA informed that there is no upper age limit, as per the letter received from the National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB).
NTA recently clarified that APAAR ID is not mandatory to fill the NEET application form 2025. Applicants can use other means to complete their NEET UG 2025 registration. The clarification came after a notice wherein the testing agency encouraged aspirants to use the ID and Aadhaar-based authentication for NEET registration 2025.
