Candidates seeking to surrender their provisionally allotted seats can submit an online seat surrender request to the Nodal Officer of the allotted institute along with the required supporting documents. Candidates can resign or exit their allotted seats in Round 1 and Round 2 and remain eligible for the subsequent counselling round, subject to the applicable rules.

The University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), Delhi as urged the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to release revised MBBS session dates for 2026-27, citing delays in NEET UG counselling. The college noted that the delayed schedule could affect foundation courses, orientation programmes, parent-faculty interactions, academic planning and resource allocation. It has also requested that medical colleges be allowed to commence foundation courses and Phase I teaching once counselling and admissions are completed.
