Pradhan highlighted that the Supreme Court is currently hearing the matter, and the government will abide by its decision. "We will ensure that no student is at a disadvantage," he added.

On June 13, the Center informed the Supreme Court that the decision to award grace marks to 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates for admission to Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and other courses has been cancelled.

Instead, these candidates will be given the option to retake the exam on June 23. Those who choose not to retake the exam will have their earlier marks, excluding the grace marks, considered for the purpose of results.

heir earlier marks, sans the grace marks, will be given for the purpose of results.
