NEET UG application form 2025 expected on January 31 at neet.nta.nic.in: Reports

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to commence the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) registration for MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate (UG) medical admissions tomorrow, as per several media reports. The NEET UG application form 2025 will be hosted on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.

Besides MBBS, BDS, students aspiring to study Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) will also have to qualify NEET.

“Military Nursing Service (MNS) aspirants seeking admission to BSc Nursing Courses being conducted at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals for the year 2025 are required to qualify for NEET (UG),” the NTA said.

A total of 1,08,940 MBBS seats will be filled through the NEET UG 2025. As per the data shared by the health ministry, Tamil Nadu has the highest number of 5,275 MBBS seats.

Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID), a 12-digital identity number for consolidating their academic achievements, was made mandatory for NEET UG registration. However, it later revoked the requirement and asked candidates “to register for the exam using other available means, details of which shall be available in the information bulletin soon”. As per last year’s application process, Aadhaar number, Class 12 roll number issued by a recognised school education board, election card number, and passport number will be considered as valid ID.

How to fill NEET UG application form 2025

In the latest NEET UG update, the NTA informed that the NEET registration will begin in “due course of time”. Steps to fill the NEET UG form 2025 is given below.

• Visit the NEET official website, neet.nta.nic.in 2025.
• Enter name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, nationality, state of eligibility, category, mobile number and email address.
• Now enter the security pin as displayed on the screen to register.
• The login credentials such as user ID and password will be generated.
• Login again through the NEET registration link and fill in personal and academic details.
• Upload a recent passport size photograph, signature in the specified format.
• Pay the NEET UG application fee and submit the application form.
• Download the NEET UG application confirmation page for future reference.
