Download NowNEW DELHI: The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration window will open tomorrow, March 30. The NEST 2024 exam will be conducted on June 30. Eligible candidates can fill out the NEST 2024 application form by visiting the official website, nestexam.in.
As per the official schedule, the last date to fill out the NEST 2024 application form is May 31, 2024. The NEST 2024 admit card will be out on June 15. The NEST 2024 exam will be held in two shifts; the first shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The NEST result 2024 will be declared on July 10.
The NEST 2024 application fee for male candidates from general, other backward classes (OBC) categories is Rs 1,400. For candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and Divyangjan (physically challenged) categories, as well as for all female candidates, the application fee is Rs 700.
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a computer-based examination required for admission into the five-year integrated Master of Science (MSc) programme.
NEST 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for NEST 2024 before applying for it.
Age limit: There is no age limit for appearing in the NEST 2024 examination and seeking admission to either the NISER or UM-DAE CEBS.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 11, 12 from the regular science stream with at least 60% marks. candidates from the reserved category should have scored at least 55%.
Candidates should have passed the Class 12 examination from any recognized board in either 2022 or 2023 or should be appearing for the same in 2024.

NEST 2024: Total seats
According to the official notice, a total of 257 seats are available for admission in the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS) in Mumbai. Category-wise seat distribution for both institutes is given in the table below.
