NEST 2024: Registration window opens tomorrow; elegibility, application fee

Download NowNEW DELHI: National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), will open the registration window for National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 tomorrow, March 20. Candidates can fill out the NEST 2024 application form by visiting the official website, nestexam.in.
According to the official website, the NEST 2024 will be conducted for a total of 200 seats. The deadline to apply for NEST 2024 is May 31. Candidates will also be able to correct their applications, however, dates for the application correction window are yet to be announced. The NEST admit cards 2024 will be issued on May 29. The NEST 2024 will be held on June 30 in 115 cities throughout India.
NEST 2024: Eligibility
As per the NEST 2023 eligibility criteria, applicants must have completed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% from the Science stream. Candidates must also have passed their last qualifying examination in 2021 or 2023. Applicants in the general or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category must have cleared their Class 12 board examinations with a minimum of 60% aggregate, while candidates in the reserved category must have scored at least 55%.
Candidates in the General or OBC categories must have been born on or after August 1, 2003, whilst reserved category candidates have a maximum 5-year age relaxation.

NEST 2024: Application fee
The NEST 2024 application fee for the male candidates of the General and OBC categories is Rs 1,400. The application fee for candidates in the SC, ST, Divyangjan categories as well as for all female candidates is Rs 700. Candidates can pay their NEST application fee 2024 through credit card, debit card or net banking.
