Download NowThe NEST 2025 registration deadline has been extended from May 9 to May 13, 2025 (till 12 noon). This gives students extra time to complete their application and payment process on the official NEST website.
NEST is mandatory for admission to top institutes like NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. Candidates should make use of this extended deadline to ensure they don't miss the opportunity.
As per the latest official update, the tentative date for the NEST 2025 examination is June 22, 2025. The test is held once a year at the national level and will be conducted across approximately 120 cities in India. It serves as a crucial admission gateway for a variety of advanced science programs, including, Integrated 5-Year MS programmes, MSc in medical & radiological physics, integrated MSc + PhD programme and PhD programme.

NEST 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. A minimum aggregate of 60% is required (or 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

Exam Format
The NEST exam is a computer-based test lasting 3 hours and 30 minutes, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The marking scheme includes +3 for correct responses and -1 for incorrect answers.
