The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the new visa category under the sub-category (S-5) of the student visa, targeting scientists, researchers, faculty members, and scholars from the G20 member countries.
The G20 Talent Visa is designed to facilitate entry into India for individuals engaged in projects, training programs, post-doctoral research, and academic fellowships.
“All Higher Education Institutions (HEls) are requested to take note of this and circulate the information on G20 Talent Visa among stakeholders/ faculty members/ researchers/scholars. This visa will provide a valuable opportunity for individuals to present their research and innovations,” the commission said in an official statement.
