Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The National Institute of Fashion Technology has postponed the NIFT situation test 2021 for BDes candidates due to the prevailing situation caused by COVID 19 pandemic. The institute is yet to announce the revised NIFT 2021 situation test date.

The exam was scheduled to be held from April 10 - April 13. Also, the examination cell will announce the new date for downloading NIFT situation test admit card shortly on the official website - nift.ac.in.
The official notice dated April 6 said, 'In view of present situation arisen due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Situation Test for UG (Design) scheduled on April 10, April 11, April 12 and April 13, 2021, has been postponed. The new dates for the Situation Test / downloading of Admit card for Situation Test will be notified on the NIFT website. The aspirants are requested to keep checking the NIFT website at regular intervals.'

Students can use this precious time for preparing for the final phase of the NIFT entrance exam. NIFT situation test is a two hours long exam where candidates will be evaluated based on their skills for material handling and creative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials.
Here are some quick tips to prepare for the NIFT 2021 situation test.

Boost your observation and visualization skills. Observe all the detailed basic things around you and get innovative ideas.

Use all types of craft materials while practicing at home. Make yourself acquainted with all kinds of materials on how to cut and attach them.

Use thermocol, glaze papers, cardboard, kite papers, fabric, colour clay, aluminum foil, sun pack, foam, straw pipe, cotton, rubber sheet, gift wrapping sheet etc while making the model.

Don’t ponder too much time in one model. Prepare a timeframe for each model.

Go through the previous years’ question papers of the NIFT situation test.
During the NIFT situation test, candidates will be closely watched and examined on how well they can manage the time while working on their 3D model. Besides the time management skills, students will also be monitored on how effectively they can transform the concept into 3D design from a paper.
