NIFT 2022: Exam on February 6; Mock test dates, online proctored exam guidelines

NEW DELHI: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will conduct the NIFT entrance exam 2022 in online remote proctored mode on February 6. NIFT 2022 will be conducted under strict invigilation which will include ID verification, monitoring the test-taker through a camera, etc. The authority took the decision to take the exam in online remote mode to ensure the safety of all the candidates who will be appearing for the NIFT exam 2022.

Students who will be taking the NIFT 2022 entrance exam from their location, should have a personal computer/ laptop with stable internet connectivity. Students must keep requisite documents and follow all the guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the NIFT exam.

NIFT 2022: Online remote proctored mode guidelines

• Students are not required to visit any NIFT exam centre for appearing in the entrance exam. They can appear for the NIFT 2022 exam from their respective location(s).

• They should sit in a place where they would be able to appear in the NIFT exam 2022 peacefully without any interruption during the examination.

• Students should have two devices to take NIFT 2022.

  • Device 1 for the test. It should be a laptop/ personal computer which should have a functional microphone and webcam.

  • Device 2 for pairing/ security and for clicking photos of the answer sheets. This device will need to be paired and will need to be an Android Mobile/ Tablet with a camera, microphone, latest chrome browser along with UCanAssess app installed.

• Candidates need to sit in front of Device 1 so that him/ her face is clearly visible at all times.

• Device 2 needs to be so placed such that your rear/ side view is clearly visible from its camera.

• Students have to ensure uninterrupted power supply and stable internet connectivity, during the NIFT entrance examination.

• Students are required to make their own arrangements for personal computers/ laptops. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) does not make any arrangements in this regard.

• Students will be required to show their NIFT exam admit card and ID proof before the camera, when asked to do so, for verification purposes.

NIFT mock test 2022

Candidates who are going to appear for NIFT 2022 entrance exam must take the NIFT mock test from February 1 to 3, 2022. See below for the date and time to participate in the NIFT 2022 mock test.

Last year, the NIFT entrance exam was conducted in pen and paper mode. Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 situation and the increasing number of cases, the entrance exam will be conducted in online remote proctored mode.
