NIFT 2022 exam is taking place today. Authorities have issued certain guidelines for candidates which should be followed during the NIFT entrance examination.

Download EBookNEW DELHI- The National Institute of Fashion Technology is all set to conduct the NIFT 2022 entrance exam today, February 6. NIFT CAT will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and NIFT GAT will be held from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. In view of the prevailing situation due to COVID 19 pandemic, the NIFT 2022 test will be conducted in online proctored mode. Candidates are not required to visit the test centers, instead they are taking the NIFT entrance test on the laptop/ desktop from the comfort of their home.

NIFT CAT and GAT exams are only for BDes and MDes courses. Regarding the same, the authorities state that “on the basis of the result of NIFT CAT and GAT, BDes candidates will be called for the second test called situation test and Mdes candidates will be called for the further round of selection process which includes Group Discussion (GD)/ Personal Interview (PI)” For BFTech, NIFT GAT will be the final test for selection.

NIFT 2022- Requirements for online proctored mode exam

Desktop/ Laptop- Candidates should be using the latest version of Chrome browser and candidates should have an android mobile phone. It is because the exam app is required for pairing and only works with Android.

Video/ Audio- Laptop or desktop should have a webcam of minimum 1.3 MP and also have good quality mic.

RAM and Processor- System should have 4 + GB RAM, i3 5th Generation

Operating system- Minimum 7 or above

Descktop should be connected with Uninterrupted power backup (UPS)
NIFT 2022- Exam day guidelines

Login time- Candidates will have to log in 60 minutes before the exam starting and get their verification done.

After login, candidates will have to select their paper and complete the desktop/ laptop camera verification process. After logging in a QR code will be shown for scanning and connecting the Andriod device.

After setting up the camera, candidates can launch the NIFT entrance test by using the link provided on the admission portal.

Candidates can log in by using their NIFT roll number and password (sent on email).

Candidates sitting position should be facing the laptop/ desktop camera.

The activities of the candidate will be monitored throughout the duration of NIFT entrance exam.

Indulging in any unfair means during the exam can lead to disqualification.

No Bio breaks will be allowed during the test. Candidates can keep their water bottle.
