NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur will close the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) registration 2024 today. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the NIMCET 2024 registration form by visiting the official website, nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
Candidates are required to pay the NIMCET 2024 application fee to complete the registration process. Candidates belonging to the General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class (OBC) are required to pay Rs 2,500. On the other hand, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,250.

NIMCET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the NIMCET 2024 eligibility criteria below.
- Indian citizenship is mandatory.
- At least 60% marks in aggregate or a 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BIT programs.
- The program must be of a minimum duration of three years and full-time.
- Mathematics, statistics, or equivalent subjects must be one of the subjects.
Relaxation for SC, ST candidates
- Minimum required aggregate marks are 55% or a 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in the mentioned programs.
Eligibility for students from open universities
- Completion or pursuit of BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BIT of three years.
- Program approval by UGC, AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of the Government of India is necessary.
NIMCET 2024 exam pattern
The NIMCET 2024 exam will be held on June 8, in online mode. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The medium of the paper will be English. There will be a total of 120 questions divided into 4 sections- mathematics, analytical ability and logical reasoning, computer awareness, and general English. Candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer and there 255 negative marking for wrong answers.
