NIOS Date Sheet 2026 Out: Class 10, 12 theory exams from October 22, check dates and timings

NIOS has released the subject-wise timetable for the October 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 theory examinations, including examination dates, subject codes and timings.

Download NowThe National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has issued notification for the October 2026 theory examination. The dates have been announced for Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses. As per the datesheet, the examinations will begin on October 22, 2026, at various examination centres. Students scheduled to appear in exam can check the datesheet on NIOS website at sdmis.nios.ac.in. The time table includes subject-wise examination dates, subject codes and timings for both classes.

The NIOS notification having exam dates has been issued by the Director (Evaluation). NIOS has requested all regional directors to upload the theory examination date sheet on their respective regional centres' websites.
The notification reads, "The examination fees paid by the candidates entitle them to appear in theory examination, if otherwise eligible, without having to pay anything extra at the examination centre."

NIOS October 2026 Theory Exam: Important instructions
Candidates can download the hall tickets from the NIOS website. They will be given 15 minutes to read the question paper before the examination begins.
The result is likely to be declared seven weeks after the last examination. Once out, students will be able to download the same from NIOS website.
The Mark-Sheet-cum-Certificate and Migration-cum-Transfer Certificate will be issued to successful candidates through their respective accredited institutions (AIs).
The date sheet mentions special examination dates for certain regional centres. For Gangtok, sanskrit vyakaran (346), basics of transportation (379) and bodh darshan (381) are scheduled for October 27, 2026, while early childhood care and education (376) is scheduled for November 3, 2026. For the Dehradun and Prayagraj regional centres, Sanskrit (309) is scheduled for December 3, 2026. For more details, go to the official website.
