Starting from the April-May examination cycle, students will be provided a reading time of 15 minutes from 2:15 to 2:30 pm before the commencement of the exam. The additional time will be given to review the question paper. During this period, the candidates will not be allowed to write answers. The institute said that it has introduced the changes to facilitate the learners and enhance their academic experience.
“The objective behind this provision is to align NIOS learners with their counterparts from other school education boards, ensuring equal academic opportunities and facilitating a more conducive examination environment. NIOS believes this change will aid in reducing examination stress and enhancing the overall performance of the learners,” the institute said in an official notice.
