NLU Delhi to students: Submit fee by April 30; no hostel for Delhi-NCR residents

National Law University has updated the balance fee amount of students enrolled in BBA LLB (Hons) programme on their respective login accounts.
NEW DELHI: National Law University (NLU) Delhi announced on Wednesday that students who have been admitted provisionally in BA LLB (Hons) programme will have to pay the complete fee by April 30. If students fail to submit the balance fee amount, their admission will be cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next candidate on the AILET 2024 merit list.
NLU Delhi is conducting admission to BA LLB on the basis of the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2024) score. It has updated the balance fee amount on each candidate’s login account. The information is necessary for the hostel allotment process. Students had to pay Rs 50,000 while accepting admission into BBA LLB (Hons) of NLU Delhi. They will have to submit Rs 2,47,000 for 2024-25 session. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and PWD categories will have to pay Rs 20,000 less.
They will also have to update and verify their present and permanent address, the institute said. Students will have to provide valid documents such as Aadhaar card, voter ID card and passport for address verification.
No hostels for Delhi-NCR residents
NLU Delhi has said that only new students who have their residence outside Delhi-NCR will be considered for hostel allotment. “The university will not be able to provide hostel facilities to the newly admitted students of BA LLB Hons programme from Delhi-NCR due to paucity of rooms in the hostel,” it added. Hostel fee details will be provided after the allocation process, which is expected to be completed after July 15.

Students will also have to update their email ID and mobile numbers as well as of their parents. The university will make all communication about the admission process and coursework on the registered mobile number and email ID.
APAAR/ABC ID: How to register
Students will also have to create their APAAR/ABC ID, which has been mandated by the higher education department. They can follow these steps:
- Go to the Academic Bank of Credit website, abc.gov.in
- Access ‘my account’ section and select 'student' category
- In the next tab, click on ‘sign up’ and provide mobile number and Aadhaar card details to establish a DigiLocker account
- Log into DigiLocker account using your credentials and give consent to share Aadhaar card details with ABC for KYC verification
- Access APAAR/ABC ID form on the ABC website and complete it
- Submit the form, and the APAAR/ABC ID card will be generated.
