Download EBookNEW DELHI, OCTOBER 4: Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is conducting the NMAT by GMAC 2018 starting from today, October 4, 2018. The 75-day long exam window will continue until December 17. Candidates can choose their exam slot (date/time/venue) as per their convenience in computer-based mode. Along with the original attempt, test takers can opt for two retakes. Best of the three scores would be considered for final admission. The registrations for the online exam had started from July 3 and concluded on October 3. The national-level entrance exam is the gateway to NMIMS (Deemed to be University) and 25 other MBA schools across the country. NMAT 2018 is being conducted in 44 cities all over India.

The late registration can be done from October 4 to October 14, the retake registration window is October 5 to December 14. NMAT by GMAC 2018 is a two-hour online test carrying 120 objective questions divided into three sections - Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills and Language Skills. Each section has a sectional time limit and candidates will need to answer the questions within the allotted sectional time. Moving back and forth between sections is not allowed.
The result will be declared in the second week of January 2019. The final scores of a candidate will be sent to the five B-schools selected during the application process. Apart from NMIMS, the exam scores are accepted by 24 other B-schools across India. Some of the NMAT participating institutes include ICFAI Business School (IBS), Alliance University, VIT University, ITM Navi Mumbai, Xavier School of Human Resource Management Bhubaneswar, Xavier School of Sustainability Bhubaneswar, Thapar School of Management, Amity University, Shiv Nadar University, etc.
All the participating institutes will shortlist the candidates on the basis of their cutoffs and the shortlisted ones will be called for the selection rounds - GD, Writing Test (WAT) and PI. The overall performance in all the rounds will be considered for the final admission.
