NMC extends last date for medical colleges to fill online PG admission related information

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the last date for medical colleges to fill information related to admissions in postgraduate courses for the academic year 2021 on the NMC portal to May 9.

“All the medical colleges, institutes in India are hereby informed that the last date of filling information relating to admission made for postgraduate (broad and super-specialty) for the academic year 2021 on the NMC portal has been extended to May 9, 2022,” said an official notification from NMC.

NMC said that if the colleges do not upload the data on its portal in the stipulated time, they will be required to fill up the details by physically visiting the NMC office along with the reasons for not filling the details on time. “No physical or manual data will be accepted for whatsoever reason,” the Commission added.

NMC explained that the deadline extension came as the last date for filling up the information online was 2 days after the last date of admission. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that the last date for admission in National Eligibility Entrance Test for postgraduate and super-speciality, NEET PG 2021 counselling and NEET SS 2021 counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota seats is May 7.

On April 5, NMC issued a notification asking colleges for online filling of information related to admissions made for postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2021-22. Due to persistent changes in the last date of admission, colleges are not able to fill up the final details, NMC added.
