NMC invites applications for MD Psychiatry, MD Geriatrics; list of medical colleges here

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission has invited applications for postgraduate courses of MD Psychiatry, MD Geriatrics from colleges under the National Health Programme. NMC informed that the postgraduate portal will open till December 31, 2021, for medical aspirants to submit their applications for admission.

The NMC’s official notice read, “The Medical Assessment and Rating Board, the National Medical Commission invites application for postgraduate courses of MD Psychiatry, MD Geriatrics under National Health Programme as tertiary component supported by the central government in various states, union territories.”

The medical commission also released the list of medical colleges under the programme for MD Psychiatry, MD Geriatrics. The list of medical colleges for psychiatry include IMHANS, Kozhikode, Kerala, Hospital for Mental Health, Ahmedabad, Institute of Psychiatry, Kolkata.

Colleges listed under MD Geriatrics include Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Guwahati Medical College, Madras Medical College, Tamil Nadu.

Recently, the NMC had requested all medical colleges to make the information regarding institutions public before December 17. It further informed that the details entered by a medical college can not be changed or removed, however, they can update or add important information.
