NMC issues state-wise list of medical colleges allowed to conduct internship for FMGs

NMC has issued a state-wise list of recognised, approved medical colleges for CRMI including seats for Foreign Medical Graduates.
NEW DELHI : The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a state-wise list of medical colleges and institutes which are allowed to conduct the Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for foreign medical graduates (FMGs). The list also indicates the number of FMG seats in colleges across the nation. The commission issued the list after receiving several requests from candidates demanding info on such colleges.
“National Medical Commission is in receipt of number of requests/representations regarding medical colleges/institutes allowed to conduct Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship for Foreign Medical Graduates,” said NMC in an official notice.

Shambhu Sharan Kumar, director of the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) said, “A state-wise updated list of recognized and approved medical colleges/institutes, which are allowed by the National Medical Commission, to conduct Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for Foreign Medical Graduates indicating the number of FMGs seats, is attached herewith, for dispersal of information among all concerned.”
According to the list, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Sikkim have one only one approved college each for conducting the internship.
