NMIMS admission 2024 starts for BA Indian, western music; auditions on February 6

NEW DELHI: The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) School of Performing Arts is now accepting applications for undergraduate (UG) courses for the academic year 2023-24. The applications for BA Indian Music and BA Western Contemporary Music will have to be submitted on the official website, nmims.edu.
The NMIMS admission registration deadline for applying to the BA Indian Music (Vocal/Sitar) and BA Western Contemporary Music programmes (Vocals, Piano, Guitar, Drums) is January 29, 2024.
Vikas Bharadwaj, dean of the School of Performing Arts, said: “Several students these days are open to pursuing education which is offbeat and are willing to follow their passion for performing arts, especially music. The NMIMS School of Performing Arts provides a great opportunity to learn music from the best in the field which opens up flourishing career avenues for aspiring musicians, be it vocals or instruments.”
The infrastructure of the institute and the special curriculum have been developed to ensure that the students get a “sound foundation in both Indian and Western music,” he said.

NMIMS Admission: Eligibility criteria
Applicants can check the NMIMS admission eligibility criteria details below.

Candidates should have completed Class 12 or equivalent exams in any field.

They should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Preference is given to students who demonstrate exceptional abilities and inclination towards music.

Students are chosen for both programmes based on their two to five-minute, unlisted, uncut YouTube videos.

Selected candidates are invited to participate in an online audition on a day announced by the institution.
