NMIMS' Shirpur campus opens admissions for BSc Hons agriculture programme

BSc Hons in agriculture course at NMIMS will organise interactive outreach activities, provide internships opportunities and give industry exposure to students.
NEW DELHI: NMIMS' school of agricultural sciences and technology (SAST) has opened admissions for the 4-year degree programme in bachelor of agriculture (BSc Hons). Interested candidates can apply on NMIMS' official website- nmims.edu.
Candidates applying for the programme must have passed the higher secondary examination (HSC) or 10+2 from central or state boards and have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and biology or equivalent programme.

The BSc Hons agriculture programme at NMIMS aims to prepare agricultural graduates to undertake responsible jobs, entrepreneurship, and agricultural scientists and thereby promote sustainable farm profitability and livelihood security to the rural population depending directly or indirectly on agriculture.
The programme has been designed as per Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) recommended syllabus. The BSc Hons in agriculture syllabus balances theory and practical and all practical sessions are held in fully equipped laboratories or on the farm. The students will also be exposed to various research institutes under the programme.
NMIMS will be organising students with interactive outreach activities under the guidance of the faculty and two month long industry internship to closely observe the day-to-day functioning of an industry and acquire entrepreneurial skills.
