NORCET-8 Exam: 1,794 nursing officer vacancies to be filled; highest in AIIMS Patna

AIIMS NORCET-8 registration will be closed on March 17. Of the total 1,794 nursing officer posts, the highest number of 308 posts will be filled in AIIMS Patna.
NEW DELHI: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Delhi) has announced a total of 1,794 nursing officer vacancies under the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 recruitment 2025. The AIIMS NORCET 8 registration 2025 has already begun and will remain open till March 17.
Out of the total number of AIIMS NORCET-8 vacancies, the highest number of 308 posts will be filled in AIIMS Patna. It is the only institute which has 29 seats vacant for the PWBD category; of which 24 are reserved for female candidates and the remaining 5 for male candidates.
Three hundred vacancies will be filled in the Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS, Maidangarhi) and 202 posts in AIIMS New Delhi .
BSc (Hons) Nursing, BSc Nursing, Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council or any state nursing council recognized institute or BSc post-certificate, post-basic BSc Nursing will be eligible to apply for the recruitment. Those who have registered as nurse and midwife with the state or the INC will also be considered eligible.
A total of 23 institutes will use the NORCET-8 score for hiring nursing officers. As per the schedule, the computer-based test (CBT) for stage 1 NORCET preliminary will be held on April 12 and the NORCET CBT stage 2 mains exam will be conducted on May 2 for qualified candidates.

AIIMS NORCET-8 vacancies
NORCET-8 is held for the recruitment of nursing officer posts at “Level 07 in the Pay Matrix pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs 9,300 - Rs 3,4800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4,600, Group-B for AIIMS and other institutes. The seat matrix for AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Raipur will be updated soon, the institute said. As on March 3, 2025, the NORCET seat positions are given below.
