NTA to announce JEE Main 2019 April and final results with AIR on or before April 30

Download EBookNEW DELHI, APRIL 23: National Testing Agency (NTA); the conducting body of JEE Main 2019 will announce results of JEE Main April session on or before April 30. The authorities will also announce the final results and AIR for JEE Main 2019 on the same day. This year NTA has conducted JEE Main two times in a year and the best scores from both the sessions will be taken into consideration for final results. JEE Main 2019 April session was conducted from April 7 to 12 in completely online mode.

Compilation of results for JEE Main April 2019 session
JEE Main 2019 April session was conducted in multiple sessions from April 7 to 12 and the scores of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of raw scores obtained by candidates in each of the session. The scores for each of the sections will be normalized by a set procedure i.e. 100 X (No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than score in the particular subject ÷ Total No. of candidates appeared in the session). Four separate percentiles will be calculated for each candidate namely, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Total Percentile. The percentile scores of all the four subjects will be then merged together for the preparation of NTA scores and AIR of the candidates.
Calculation of Final Result and All India Rank (AIR)
The percentile scores of all 4 subjects from January and April session will be merged together to prepare the overall merit list and ranking of the candidates. Students who have appeared for both the attempts, their best percentile score from both the sessions will be taken into consideration for the preparation of final merit list and All India Ranks.
