NTA Exam Calendar 2025 Live: JEE Main, NEET, CUET entrance exam dates soon; check latest updates on nta.ac.in

JEE Main serves as the entrance examination for National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other participating technical education institutions. The exam will be conducted in two phases.

The cutoff score is determined by several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the question paper, the number of available seats, and historical cutoff trends. The marking scheme for JEE Main Paper 1 is as follows: For Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), +4 marks are awarded for each correct answer, with a deduction of -1 mark for each incorrect answer. For Numerical Questions, candidates are awarded +4 marks for every correct response. The exam duration is 3 hours, with an extended time of 4 hours for candidates with disabilities.

There is no upper age limit to appear for CUET UG 2024. However, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the participating universities, which may include age requirements. It's advisable to check the specific eligibility criteria of the universities you are interested in.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions was conducted for a total of 63 subjects, comprising 33 languages, 29 domain-specific subjects, and one general test. This year, two new subject papers—fashion studies and tourism—were added.

The Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET-UG) is conducted to facilitate admissions into central universities and other participating institutions. In 2025, the exam will be held in multiple shifts to accommodate an increased number of candidates.

The NTA issued the exam calendar for 2024 entrance exams on September 19, 2023.

As in the previous year, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main will be conducted in two phases. For NEET UG 2025, general category candidates will need to pay an application fee of Rs 1,700, while candidates from General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories will be charged Rs 1,600. The fee for SC, ST, PwBD, and third gender applicants will be Rs 1,000. Additionally, applicants choosing exam centres outside India will be required to pay Rs 9,500.

The CUET UG 2025 exam date is likely to be announced in October, following last year’s schedule. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the exam date along with details such as registration dates, syllabus, exam cities, pattern, marking scheme, and the list of participating universities on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.
